Excellent!

MonthlyCal is the most perfect companion to the native Calendar app. Absolutely love the design and functionality! Highly recommended!

top app

cheap and usefull! best calendar widget for ox x so far!

I like this app!

This app is very good for me because I don’t need to use dashboard to see calendar widget; which seems to consume Macbook Pro battery.

Winner By Default

A calendar and dictionary/thesaurus widget were the last two holes that I needed to fill in order to completely replace the dashboard and hop on Apple’s future vision. This fills one of those holes. It’s super simple and doesn’t serve much purpose beyond giving you a full montly view in notification center, but that’s all I wanted. It does show which days have events by syncing with ical, which is nice, but there is no way of viewing exactly what those notifications are without opening the full app. Which at that point, you are just going to view them ical anyways. It would be nice if in a future version the widget expanded when you clicked on a day with an event so you could see what it is. But still, great app, and I’m glad someone finally made a calendar widget for the sidebar!

Does the job as advertised, and quite well too!

I was quite annoyed to find that there was no easy option to view a monthly calendar anywhere easily in OS X, having come from windows where I could see one by hovering over the date/time. More surprised was I to see that there were few to no options avaliable to fix this issue. Until I found this. It’s a pain to have to pay 99 cents—but that’s more a complaint against Apple for not making it a native calendar funcionality. This does the job nicely, cleanly, and I am quit ehappy with it! It deserves more attention.

Finally

Notification center’s today view paradigm appeals to me so much more than the dashboard ever did, but from the moment I booted up Yosemite, I’ve been aching for a monthly calendar view. For me, this little app fulfills the Today view promise. Odd that Apple left it to someone else to provide this functionality, but at least this developer is providing it in exemplary fashion. Daily events listed below the month view makes the default calendar widget utterly unecessary. Best 99 cents i’ve spent on the app store since 10.10. Would have gladly paid more.

Great App

This app is awesome. Only thing is i would like to see reminders added to the list.

Works great!

Does what is says and simple!

Very nice

This is a very nice calendar widget, I have yet to find one better

Apple should offer to buy this widget

This thing is amazing—exactly what I was looking for. Why in the world isn’t this part of the base operating system? Love it! Thank you!

Exactly what I needed

Well done.

Wrong First Day of Week

I love this little app but I it starts the week on Sunday and I have iCal set to start the week on Monday. This works fine on my iPhone 6, but not in my Yosemite Notification Center. Any thoughts?

Not bad for the price.

This app does exactly what it says. It also does everything that I was looking for. Should I have to pay a dollar so OS X can do something that it probably should have done natively? No. But am I going to cry over the dollar I had to pay for this? No. Is it worth a dollar? Sure. It’s just frustrating that I have to pay for something that seems should be native to the OS. Kudos to the developer for capitalizing on this.

As of now it deserves Four Star

Its GOOD but can be made much more better so that it itself as an stand alone app can be helpful.

Great little app

I really like to be able to just pull up the calendar at times, just to see dates. Yes, the Mac should do this itself, but this is a nice inexpensive way to do it. The app doesnt try to do too much, but does what it promises very well.

Yes

Dude. a buck for a calendar widget in my notification center. Works, and stuff. Worth it.

No Events?

Not what I was expecting. It added a calendar to my notifications panel. I guess that’s useful.

Very nice!

This widget is awesome and it works great! One feature request: Id love to see Apple Calendar opens when I double-click a day in the notification center. Right now, nothing happens on an empty day and on a day with events, it just collapses and re-shows the events.

Wonderful

I love this little app – it’s very nice to have a monthly calendar view in the notification center. ♥ it!

Lovely

Compact, dark (which I like) but with enough color to make events pop, and just the right amount of settings to customize it the way I like. SO much better than the native Calendar widget. This is exactly what I was looking for.
